Last October the NY Mets were red hot, had won the NLCS, and were headed to the World Series, but BuzzFeed wasn’t covering what was happening in our own backyard. So, the night before Halloween, I took a trip to Citi Field with a co-worker, and started taking portraits and asking fans “Why should the country be rooting for the Mets?”as they excitedly waited for Game 3 to start. We had this post live by 8:30 the next morning. 

As luck would have it, after I shared my post on Facebook I got a message from a friend asking if I had tickets to Game 4. Of course I didn’t, but after pulling a few strings, I had two. I watched the Mets lose on Halloween, but I watched it happen in person, from the first base line, which was a once in a lifetime opportunity — All thanks to a passion project!
